Charter Harbor

What has meaning to me now remains the same

strength

but the word is redefined

settled in a salt bath

when all i used to crave was sugar

I wonder what kind of anchor i could be for many boats

one boat

and then i think again

i am a harbor

unsurprised by

lines and change of seas,

temporary docking,

melting ice,

tipping tides,

creatures cradling each other

No body is better than a body of water

and mine is mostly that,

though it is not where character arrives

the charter is short

Less than three lines

but it carries with purpose

across tasks and time
